Domenica pomeriggio Nicola mi ha portata in uno dei posti più fantastici che abbia mai visitato…il Castello di Miramare lungo la costiera triestina. Malgrado l’abbia ammirato centinaia di volte dal mare, non l’avevo mai visitato dalla terra…
Con mia grande sorpresa ho scoperto un luogo ben oltre le mie aspettative, fatto di enormi giardini, boschetti e splendidi scorci dell’alto Adriatico.
Trieste per me significa due cose: lavoro, dato che mio papà vi si reca ogni giorno, ma soprattutto vacanze, mare e sole! Ogni estate costeggiamo in barca il golfo triestino per raggiungere le coste croate dove trascorriamo le vacanze: adoro il profumo di pino marittimo e salmastro tipico di quei posti, che ho ritrovato all’interno della tenuta del castello.
Complice il caldo afoso ed un mal di denti assillante, la mia presenza lasciava alquanto a desiderare! Ho indossato semplici shorts di jeans scuro abbinati ad una vecchissima canotta di pizzo che non indossavo da troppo tempo: dato che qui in Veneto l’umidità non ci lascia respirare, una canottierina fatta di niente è essenziale per sopravvivere!
Questo weekend finalmente mi dedicherò allo shopping…dite che riuscirò a trovare qualcosina?! Inoltre, a Venezia sabato è prevista la festa più importante dopo il Carnevale, ovvero il Redentore…se riesco a fare qualche foto decente in notturna, condividerò molto volentieri con voi questa tradizione!

Trieste means to me basically two things: work, since my dad works there almost every day, but most of all holidays, sea and sun!
