Fall is calling...Tell it I'm busy!

No, non sono stata rapita dagli ufo…e no, non sono nella legione straniera! Ho solo avuto una settimana frenetica e un po’ strana che mi ha costretta a sacrificare il mio adorato blog…scusatemi davvero molto, ho comunque continuato a lavorare nella mia mente per i prossimi giorni ed a seguire tutti i miei amici bloggers nelle loro avventure modaiole durante la Milano Fashion Week!

Ricordate che vi avevo preannunciato alcune novità?? Beh, una è proprio sotto i vostri occhi…che ne dite del nuovo background?! Mi piace molto, dopo una lunga ed attenta (ehhhhh!!!) ricerca è quello che mi ha più colpita e che rappresenta meglio questo spazio, non trovate? Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate, è molto molto importante! Un’altra novità riguarda una decisione piuttosto importante che ho maturato in queste settimane e che si realizzerà solo domani…quindi non perdetevi i prossimi post…

Cos’è cambiato dall’ultimo post?? (Mi sembra sia passata un’eternità…) Beh l’estate è definitivamente migrata ed ho dovuto obbligarmi ad indossare sciarpa e giubbotto in pelle, il mio ragazzo è un anno più vecchio (smack!), ho aggiornato l’elenco dei blog (barra laterale di destra) che seguo e inizio a pensare sempre più assiduamente ed in maniera semi-ossessiva al mio viaggio a Parigi!!!! Tutto normale, dunque!

No, I haven’t been kidnapped by UFOs…and no, I’m not gone to the army! I just had a crazy weird week that forced me to sacrifice my lovely blog…I truly apology, anyway I kept working in my mind for the coming posts and kept following all my beloved blogger friends in their Milan Fashion Week adventures!

Do you remember I told you about some news?? Well, one of them is right in front of your eyes…what about this new background?! I really like it: after a long and careful quest (ehhhh!!!!), it’s the one that in my opinion represents at best this place called eli-a-porter, don’t you thing? Let me know your opinion, it’s really important for me and the blog! Other news have to deal with an important decision I made through the past couple of weeks and I’m realizing only tomorrow…so don’t miss the next posts…

What has changed since the last post?? (It seems to me it was ages ago…) Well, Summer has definitely migrated somewhere far from here and I had to force myself to wear scarves and leather jacket, my boyfriend is a year older than before (smack!), I updated the list of blogs I follow (right sidebar) and I started thinking constantly and in an obsessive way to my trip to Paris!!!! Nothing strange, then!

Beautiful at night

Qualche settimana fa vi ho promesso che vi avrei proposto una serie di outfit per il prossimo A/I ispirati direttamente dalle passerelle ma a costi più contenuti...
Eccovi il primo, "Beautiful at night" interamente creato con capi Topshop!
L'ispirazione è decisamente mondana ma strizza l'occhio alla ricerca del dettaglio: è così per il taglio sartoriale del pantalone a vita alta, al top monospalla plissettato, al blazer monobottone, ai gioielli romantici.
Rosso e Nero per una serata speciale.


A few weeks ago I told you I was going to suggest you some outfits for the coming F/W season, inspired straight from the catwalks but definitely more affordable...
Here is the first, "Beautiful at night", entirely made of Topshop clothes!
Inspiration is clearly mundane but also pays attention to details: you can see it in the sartorial shape of the high waisted trousers, the plisset one shouldered top, the one button blazer, the romantic jewels.
Red and Black for a special night.

F/W 2010 Inspirations: PATTERNS: LOVE THEM OR HATE THEM…

Tessuti impalpabili come la seta e lo chiffon o velluto damascato e dai toni opachi, l’intramontabile tartan ed il ritorno della fantasia “da montagna” oppure il ton-sur-ton ed i grafismi eleganti: la prossima stagione invernale confermerà il fatto che la moda è tutto ed il contrario di tutto.

Celine, DKNY, Valentino, Nanette Lepore puntano sulla tradizione…

Impalpable garments as silk and chiffon versus matt tones damask velvet, the classic tartan and the comeback of the “mountain” patterns versus ton-sur-ton and elegant graphics: the next season will confirm the fact that fashion is everything and its contrary.

Celine, DKNY, Valentino, Nanette Lepore all aim at tradition…

…mentre Chanel ripropone il suo must have di stagione, la pelliccia, adattandolo al suo tessuto iconico.

D&G basa l’intera collezione A/I sul tessuto a fantasia “montanara”, quello che impreziosiva i maglioni che indossavamo negli anni ’90, applicandolo a top di lana, gonne di chiffon e skinny di jeans.

D&G based its entire F/W collection on the typical “mountain” pattern, the one we used to wear back in the ‘90s, but this time applying it to woollen tops, chiffon skirts and denim skinny.

Giorgio Armani gioca con il velluto e la seta per creare i suoi famosi completi: dal più sobrio grigio al rosa fluo abbellito dal motivo floreale, la pelle si aggiunge al velluto di gonne e sciarpe.

Giorgio Armani plays with velvet and silk to create its famous suits: he picks the more sober grey or the fluo pink embellished by a flower design, leather goes together with velvet for his skirts and scarves.

Il tessuto glitterato e luccicante ha il suo innegabile fascino anche durante la stagione fredda: delizioso l’abitino dorato di Diane Von Funstenberg, più impegnativi gli skinny di Isabel Marant ed il mini dress opaco di Stella McCartney…

F/W 2010 Inspirations: COATS & JACKETS… COVER ME CHIC!

Militare, bon-ton, rigorosa, romantica, essenziale: cappotti e giacche per la stagione fredda avranno un’ispirazione diversa per ogni giorno…

Militare da Burberry, con i cappottini blu navy stretti in vita ma anche con il simil-parka verde con inserti in pelle e pelliccia, già destinato a divenire un must have.

Più sofisticato il poncho/giacca di Fendi con interno di piume.

Military, bon-ton, sever, romantic, essential: coats and jackets for the coming season will have a different inspiration for each day of the week…

It’s military by Burberry, with navy blue coats with squezzed waist or the green parka with leather details and inside made of fur, which is definitely going to become a season’s must have.

Inspiration is more sophisticated for the Fendi poncho/jacket: grey with feathered inside.

E’ più romantica invece da Valentino, con dettagli fatti di rouches, inserti di pelle, colli piccolo e stretti e colori classici.

It is more romantic by Valentino, with ruffled details, leather inserts, tiny collars and classical colours.

Gucci e Versace puntano sulle linee semplici ed essenziali: icona di bon ton la nuova donna Gucci che sceglie il cappotto di lana classico in color panna; più moderna da Versace, con colori che vanno dal blu elettrico con dettagli di pelle marrone al tradizionale nero con inserti blu, al classico blazer nero.

On the other hand, Gucci and Versace chose simple essential lines: the new Gucci woman is a bon ton icon who chooses the classical woollen coat but pale coloured; instead, the Versace woman is more modern, with colours from electric blue with brown leather details or the traditional black with blue inserts, or the classical black blazer.

Lanvin propone questo elegante cappotto testa di moro dalle linee morbide ma stretto stretto in vita: l’effetto retro della gonna al ginocchio è un inno alla femminilità ed all’immaginazione…

F/W 2010 Inspirations: FUR FUR FUR!!!

Dal taglio classico come per Gucci, oppure abbinata a dettagli ultra moderni come per YSL, o ancora declinata in colori arditi ed insoliti da Giorgio Armani, la pelliccia è presente in maniera prepotente nella prossima stagione A/I…Viene utilizzata per impreziosire non solo cappotti e giacconi, ma anche su pantaloni ed accessori.

Classical shape as by Gucci, or with ultra modern details as by YSL, or in daring and unusual colours as by Giorgio Armani and Versace, fur will be one of the main characters of the coming F/W season…Stylists used it not only to make coats and jackets more precious, but also on pants and accessories.

LET’S FOCUS ON….

Deliziosa da D&G su shorts che emanano calore a vista, più eccessiva e “rozza” da Chanel che la utilizza tanto come complemento all’immancabile giacca tipica della maison, quanto come “corazza” d’ispirazione eschimese. Ecco trovato il modo per ripararsi dal freddo senza rinunciare a dettagli glamour!

It’s marvellous by D&G on those shorts that look so warm and soft, it’s more excessive and savage by Chanel, which used it both as complement to the typical jacket and as an “Eskimo inspiration” armor. Fashion has found the way to stay warm without renouncing to glamorous details!

Uno dei must have per la prossima stagione invernale sarà il gilet di pelliccia, già presentato dai maggiori marchi nelle collezioni degli anni scorsi.

One of next season's must haves will be the fur vest, already presented by the major brands in the past few Winter collections.
