How many of the people on your friend's list do you really need there? This being the end of the year, a lot of people are weeding out last year's junk, and that might include people.Yes, the voice of one of SL's harshest critics is back with something to chew on. I am one who would have to say that half the people on my friends list really shouldn't be there. Then why are they? Because I am too much of a softy to say no to anyone when they ask me. The ones that do belong there are the ones I talk to at least once a week.
Many people in SL (much to my chagrin in RL too) are people collectors. They meet you once and decide you need to be in their little black books. The question is why? Why if they have no intention of talking to you again?
Well in my case it is a price I have to pay for being a Media personality. This is a responsibility I agreed to when I became one, but many SLer's out there aren't in my position and therefore don't take it as part of life. They do in fact dump people from their list if too much time has gone without contact.
So which side of the social circle are you on? Are you a collector or a collection prize?
