Sometimes a wasted trip is never really wasted. While hanging around a favourite club in SL ;a pure Paparazzi moment happened. Standing just to my left was the artist Cienega Soon.
The artist is currently December's Featured Artist at the Avatrait Gallery in SL. Her work is a high definition mix of still life and popart/modernism. But what makes it so unusual is that it's all SL based.
Cienega Soon's 27 pieces are displayed for another week on the main floor of the gallery, and can be found on the upper levels as well all season long.
Her latest showing is from her series of children's books that have just been launched in rl. Once again all the artwork in them were created in sl.
When she is not expressing herself in this way, she is working for Looking Glass Magazine as a Music Journalist, as well as running her own gallery.
The book is called An Extraordainary Day and follows the adventures of a Raven and his friends.
